A Message from the Executive Director
Welcome to the Housing Authority of Clayton County (HACC)! Located just south of the city of Atlanta and the "World's Busiest Airport," Hartsfield-Jackson International, which is housed primarily in Clayton County!
HACC was created to be a conduit for the development of affordable single-family and multi-family housing across the county. We are a service-oriented housing authority committed to offering social service programs and incentives designed to support HUD's decent, safe, and sanitary (DSS) Housing Quality Standards for low and moderate-income residents of Clayton County. Our primary objective is community revitalization with a specific focus on homeownership, development, and rehabilitation.
We desire to increase the number of quality affordable housing options in Clayton County. We have already successfully done this by issuing bonds and partnering with public, private, faith-based and other entities to develop quality affordable senior living and workforce communities.
Our goal is to collaborate with leaders, developers, partnering agencies, citizens and other visionaries who have a pulse on the community, so that we can improve Clayton County one community at a time. We are looking to expand our service delivery to create a path to homeownership, home maintenance, and sustainability in Clayton County. We believe that financial literacy and wealth building is paramount. Thus, our programs will be designed to provide education and resources in a strategic and intentional manner. We will also engage in a variety of research and analysis specifically regarding housing developments that promote thriving communities.
As HACC's Executive Director, I am thankful for the opportunity to lead this organization and contribute to the great things that are happening in the county.
HACC's success is attributed to the work done by our dedicated staff, the leadership of our commissioners, and the effective partnerships we enjoy throughout the community. We work closely with the county, the seven (7) cities located in Clayton County, the Atlanta Regional Commission, the Aerotropolis, MARTA, our local CID's, non-profits, contractors, developers, bankers, faith based organizations and the community to meet our goals and further our mission.
We will continue to build on the momentum of our successes as we face new challenges through teamwork, dedication, and commitment to those we serve.
Thank you for visiting our website, we are open for business, and we want to hear from you!
Mandala Jones
